Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist
Karen Horan is a certified Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. She graduated from the Colorado School of Energy Studies professional training program. Through personal experience, she found the subtle power of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy to be one of the most effective modalities for unwinding chronic pain, balancing the nervous system, and releasing the confines of long-held grief and trauma.
Grounded, intuitive, and intelligent, Karen’s calming presence creates a sense of peacefulness and allows space to harmonize health throughout the body. She weaves the practical, subtle techniques of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with even more subtle areas of energy healing, body-centered awareness, and esoteric teachings.
Karen has studied directly with Celtic and Peruvian mystics, energy healers, and shamanic ceremonialists. She uses the mythical stories and symbolic language found in ancient systems as tools for self-discovery and to help facilitate the healing process. Karen is also a Certified Massage Therapist, graduating with honors from Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado, though she no longer practices massage therapy.
A native of Colorado, Karen grew up in Arvada. She excelled athletically at an early age, and played competitive sports and practiced martial arts throughout her young life. As an athlete, her body-centered awareness informs her grounded and empathic approach to health and healing.
Karen is also a singer-songwriter and a voice talent for radio theater and video productions. She is a private vocal and performance coach, and provides technical training, presentations, and video production in the technology sector.
She hikes, thrives in nature, and can skip stones like no other. She meditates, practices yoga, and enjoys good food and fun, meaningful conversations.
She lives in Niwot with her feline elder, Amelia (la Maestra).
