Mental Health Therapist
Nichole completed her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2003. In her years as a mental health therapist, Nichole has counseled children, teens, and adults who suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, and adjustment disorder. In her current Longmont practice, Nichole sees teens and adults.
Nichole approaches therapy from a person-centered and mindfulness-based orientation. In addition, Nichole uses the following tools to help clear emotional trauma and improve overall functioning:
- Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or Tapping)
- Guided Visualizations
However, when it comes to healing, Nichole believes the most curative factor in therapy comes from the therapeutic relationship. She calls this, “The love in the room.” Someone may be an expert and possess many tools, but if you don’t like your therapist, making life changes will be difficult. Her approach is always client-directed, supportive, and empathic. Further, she believes that we all have the strength and resources within us to heal ourselves; we just need help uncovering our true selves.
